When Ebiko gets home, Takumi is on the phone with her mother and is making comments that seem to look down on Ebiko. When Ebiko gets annoyed and confronts him, Takumi says that he was dumped by his “higher-ranking” fiancé and has come to live with Ebiko, who is more affordable.
