Right, having said that, let’s get started, shall we?

Instapage vs Unbounce 2022. What’s the background of these two brands?

Before you sign up for a product, you obviously want to know a little bit of background on the two companies, right?

Unbounce is a Canadian company with over a decade of experience. Unbounce software was first launched in 2009, with the goal of producing landing pages for websites.

Instapage Is a slightly younger company, formed in 2012 with a similar goal. Their aims were to build software that helped increase conversion rates while using a product that was accessible to everyone.
Both of these products are aimed at making landing page creation easy for the average person. You don’t need a background in coding to begin using either of these products.

Why do I need a landing page?

If you’re already on this article, I’m going to assume you know a little about the importance of using landing pages and why you should absolutely have one. Just in case you’re still on the fence about this, though, I’m going to drive home just why they’re so vital.

  • A landing page helps to promote and build your brand
    • That’s the key focus of a landing page – it promotes your message, product, or brand!
  • It’s a single focus page
    • While your website has lots of different links and pages that direct your customers’ attention everywhere, a landing page doesn’t
    • This single focus means potential customers are less likely to get distracted or click away from the site

Who might use Unbounce or Instapage?

In short, these products are aimed at those of you who are engaged in any kind of online advertising.
These two products are aimed at the average person – that means they aren’t designed to be used by people with any specialist knowledge in coding. (Which is great for me!) People who might find either Unbounce or Instapage useful include:

  • Individuals involved in online marketing (like bloggers launching a product)
  • Startups or small businesses
  • Marketing companies

Instapage pricing

Just like Unbounce, there is a monthly billion option and an annual option (which will save you 23% per month at $99).

Instapage is a more streamlined service. There are two different options available for you to choose from – core and enterprise. I’m going to give you a quick breakdown of each of them now.

Instapage Core

This is the primary version of Instapage. This is the best version for anyone who’s getting started using their service. It’s the most basic package available from Instapage, but it still has plenty of features, including:

  • Unlimited A/B testing
  • Heatmaps

What are some of the top features of Unbounce?

Smart Traffic™

Smart Traffic™ is probably my favorite feature of Unbounce. This is a unique AI conversion tool, which I love. It ‘watches’ the incoming traffic, and diverts it to the most relevant landing page. This increases the likelihood of engagement!

Dynamic Text Replacement

Forgive my nerdiness for a second, but this feature is just plain cool if you’re interested in SEO. Dynamic Text Replacement does exactly what it says on the tin – it changes the text on the landing page to correspond with search terms.

This means that more customers will be drawn in upon seeing exactly what they’re interested in replicated on your landing page. This feature goes hand in hand with Smart Traffic, and they work really well together.

The popup builder

Popups are a really useful way of increasing your conversion rates. We know, they can get a little annoying, but we’ve all got to admit – they have their uses.

Unbounce gives you a whole host of tools to really maximize the potential of popups. One of the most useful is the ability to schedule what shows up on your popups on any day.

That means that you can schedule campaign/event/promotion changes in advance to appear in your popups, for a seamless transition!

What are some of the top features of Instapage?

Tracking of user activity

Let’s be real here; we’re all concerned about how effective our advertising is, given how much we’re spending on it. Don’t worry. You’re not alone in these worries!

Personally, one of my biggest fears is not knowing how effective my pages are. How do I know if I’m really engaging with my audience?

Well, almost as if they heard my call, Instapage has provided us with an answer:
Heat maps.

This is my personal favorite feature. Heat maps allow you to track your visitors’ activity. You can see how many people who visit your site just click off immediately, how many of them read halfway through and give up. How many of them click on those all-important ads.

Now, why am I so obsessed with this you might be wondering?

Well, the beauty of heat maps is it allows you to examine what you’re doing right, what you’re doing wrong, and then tailor your edits and revisions accordingly.

No more guesswork is needed, trawling through your page until the wee hours of the morning! Just have a look at the cold spots of your map, and get to work!

Conversion of Landing Pages -> templates

If you find a landing page format that works for you, why wouldn’t you want to stick with it? If you want to keep using a particular design that you’ve created, you don’t want to spend hours remaking it from scratch.

Instapage lives up to its name when it comes to templates. Not only does it have a wide range of instant landing pages available as templates, but it offers you the chance to make your own templates too.

Lots of integration options available

Integrations are so important to enhance your marketing, and Instapage knows that. Instapage gives you more than 20 marketing methods to use.

With such a diverse toolkit available to you, Instapage gives you everything you need to really make an impact on your traffic and your conversions.

So… Hopefully, this made the decision a little easier for you…

Hopefully, this Instapage vs Unbounce review has given you all the information you needed, this hasn’t actually made the decision more difficult for you, because I promise you that wasn’t the goal!

Although, I kind of understand it if this actually made things more difficult. Choosing your software can be really tough, especially when both programs offer such fantastic features.

Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide which one is best for you or your business. If you’re still on the fence after reading this article (I wouldn’t blame you, to be honest), then you should definitely think about taking advantage of the two week free trials offered by both.

Good luck!
