Today’s Rant about Twitter @Replies

Last night Twitter changed their functionality in the way they served tweets from one’s followers. Before you could choose whether or not you wanted to see the @replies from your followers to people you did not follow. This was a great way to better understand your followers by seeing all their tweets. It was also a great way to discover new people on Twitter. An interesting one sided conversation leads you to discover the other side.

That is no longer possible. Now you can only see the @replies to people you are following. They removed the option. Not the default, but an optional setting to interact with Twitter this way. I have since found out that there is a technical limitation, but to make this change without warning is pretty inexcusable. Twitter has heard the feedback and it looking into ways to address the optional feature.

  1. Hey, that came out nicely even with the funky forest light! And I like the credit at the end; is that a function from Vimeo?

Thanks, Lisa. It must be due to the person behind the camera (you). Actually the flip HD shoots great video, if there were only a good way to get better audio. And, yes, the credit is applied in Vimeo if you have a pro account. Here’s a how-to: http://digitalpapercuts.com/social-media/how-to-add-a-closing-credit-link-in-vimeo-pro/
