Weird Al has managed to stay relevant for nearly 30 years. The above song is a classic example of his talent. He captures both the essence of Craigslist and all its silliness with the over the top performance style of Jim Morrison of the Doors. The song features original Doors member Ray Manzarek on keyboards, adding that distinct organ sound to the song.
Top 10 Geekiest Music Videos
Gizmodo ran a story with the 10 geekiest music videos, and it’s a big laugh to watch some of these. I am an MTV kid and I remember when “Music Television” actually showed videos. Some of these are from the golden age of music videos (the 1980s), but the one I chose to represent this list is recent. I was not familiar with this Weird Al song, and don’t even know if it is a parody or an original track, but I think it is really funny. Maybe I relate a little too much to it.
