Grace Wishes You a Happy 4th of July

Grace offers Happy 4th of July wishes.

Happy Independence Day

Tonight we went to the Chapel Hill Fireworks Celebration, but got rained out. Fireworks were to start at 9:30. Around 8:15 they told us that weather was coming and we needed to leave our seats and go to the concourse. Rather than the lightning and thunder I expected, torrential rain with driving winds was what we got. Even under the concourse, we got wet.

Around 9:00, when it seemed like the rain would not end, we went home. As it turned out, the fireworks proceeded anyway.
